Just in time for the spring cleaning season, Goodwill Industries of Greater NY and Northern NJ, Inc. (Goodwill NYNJ) has opened two new traditional Goodwill Stores and Donation Centers in Northern New Jersey!
On March 22, we launched our 9th retail location in the Garden State at 1234 US-46, Ledgewood, NJ 07852, Roxbury Township in Morris County. And on April 8, we opened another location in the Woodbridge Crossing Shopping Center at 455 Green Street, Woodbridge, NJ, 07095.
Hours are Monday—Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Our team accepts your generous donations during business hours.
Because Goodwill NYNJ is a nonprofit organization, donors may request a tax receipts for their donations.
In 2023, Goodwill NYNJ re-purposed more than 37 million pounds of pre-loved clothing and home goods, successfully diverting the weight of usable goods equivalent to 83 Statues of Liberty from the landfills. In addition saving nearly 55 thousand metric tons of CO2 from polluting the atmosphere, the equivalent of removing 12 thousand cars from the road. Over 933 thousand donors dropped goods at Goodwill.
Revenue generated from Goodwill’s 30 retail locations and online website ShopGoodwill support human services for Northern NJ and NY communities. The revenue from Goodwill stores funds job connection services for local residents with disabilities and other barriers, and behavioral health services that help persons with mental illness stay healthy, on their jobs and out of hospitals due to psychiatric crises.
In NJ we provide employment, housing and other wraparound services for homeless U.S. veterans. Also, internships, training and employment services for high school graduates with disabilities. Our Northern NJ team operates out of our Newark, NJ office.
In September 2023, we officially opened our first Mini Shop & Donation Drop in Somerset County Northern NJ. This is a new small format store that offers a unique selection of pre-loved donated goods that local donors have dropped off, including home décor, books, glassware and other great knick-knacks and doodads.
