Program: Bridges to Success

Adrian is a friendly 22 year old young man who came to us after graduating from high school in 2015. He joined our Bridges to Success program because he wanted to get a job and become independent.

His desire to make a life of his own drove Adrian to participate in daily community inclusion activities, such as weekly cooking classes, which helped him improve his social skills. Along the way, staff helped Adrian enhanced his mobility, safety, and money management skills.

When he landed a job as Sales Associate at the Rego Park Burlington Coat Factory store in Queens in February 2017, his Job Coach taught him how to maintain the Men’s Department. There, he arranges the sales floor and provides excellent customer service to customers. He is a natural at it! noting how productive and motivated Adrian was, his supervisor expanded his responsibilities to the Women’s Department only two months after hiring him. Adrian is on his way!
