FOR NATIONWIDE CHARITABLE EVENT
National retailer will provide discounts to customers that make donations to the nonprofit
Astoria, NY — Goodwill® Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey, Inc., a leading workforce development nonprofit with headquarters in Astoria, NY, and Christopher & Banks, a national specialty retail company that provides an assortment of expressive styles for women of all sizes, have partnered for the Goodwill Giving Event, encouraging individuals to donate to their local Goodwill store in exchange for coupons valid at Christopher & Banks stores. Christopher & Banks provides its customers with relevant style and exceptional service, and deeply believes in shopping for a cause.
Beginning Thursday, August 30, 2018, donors at three of Goodwill NYNJ’s stores will earn coupons worth $10 valid on their purchase at any Christopher & Banks retail stores or via online at www.christopherandbanks.com. The three Goodwill locations providing the coupons are located at 720 Hoosick Road, Troy, NY 12180; 1 Fuller Road, Colonie, NY 12205; and 3701 Vestal Parkway East, Vestal, NY 13850.

Goodwill stores create jobs for local residents, and serve as drop-off goods re-purposing centers and retail training enclaves for individuals with disabilities from local rehabilitation agencies. In 2017, Goodwill NYNJ served over 45,000 individuals with developmental and physical disabilities, persons with mental health challenges, and public assistance applicants and recipients. During the same period, the nonprofit placed over 3,400 individuals in jobs, including 1,397 people with disabilities.
