Twenty-two employees from Deloitte spent their annual #ImpactThatMatters Day volunteering at Goodwill NYNJ with 50 participants from our Youth Pathways and Limited English Proficiency programs on Friday, June 7. Our Workforce Development programs prepare individuals for a successful entry into sector-based career pathways and sustainable employment.
Goodwill NYNJ President & CEO Katy Gaul-Stigge welcomed and thanked the volunteers for “contributing to a new vision for a world with no barriers to employment.”
The volunteers led Mock interviews, resume workshops, and speed networking activities and discussed professional development. In addition, the Deloitte team brought bags of donations that will be sold at our Goodwill stores.
Sales from Goodwill stores fund our programs which last year helped us provide job training, coaching and employment services to 29,841 people, including 8,988 individuals with disabilities, while diverting over 38 million pounds of usable goods from landfills.
