This November spread the giving spirit of #GivingTuesday and the holiday season by performing an #ActofGoodwill, and share it on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram for even more impact!

In honor of this year’s Giving Tuesday, for the entire month of November, Goodwill NYNJ will be tracking all #ActofGoodwill hashtags on social media networks, where you can post about an act of goodness, kindness, giving, or charity that you perform. For every #ActofGoodwill tagged on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, an anonymous donor will give $1 to Goodwill NYNJ (up to $1,500).

So if 100 people tweet or post about their #ActofGoodwill, Goodwill NYNJ gets $100! If 500 people do it, Goodwill NYNJ gets $500! These funds go directly to support our programs and services for individuals, youth, and families who are gaining independence through the power of work. Last year alone, Goodwill NYNJ worked with over 60,000 people who built better lives for themselves, their families, and their communities.

An #ActofGoodwill can be anything from helping someone cross the street, to buying someone a cup of coffee, to holding the door open for someone. It can be as simple as donating a bag of clothing to your local Goodwill store or donation center, or as adventurous as hosting a fundraiser for your favorite charity! Snap a quick selfie of your act or with the person, you helped, and share it on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the tag #ActofGoodwill.
