“Price.com is building the world’s best savings platform and encouraging consumers to make more sustainable purchases. It’s a win-win: consumers can shop responsibly and at the same time save money. We have built a technology that, for the first time, allows us to seamlessly match a new product to a used product. We are excited to expand our partnership with Goodwill through sustainable fashion.” said RJ JAIN, Price.com Founder and CEO.

“Goodwill Extended is a celebration of sustainable fashion, and while we enjoy all fashion we know that the fashion industry is a main polluter of freshwater worldwide. Goodwill NYNJ reuses in our stores and celebrates designers, like on this season’s Project Runway, who #upcycle to make new looks from used textiles. Sustainable fashion allows you to make choices that positively impact the environment and supports our mission of employment for all,” said Katy Gaul-Stigge, Goodwill NYNJ President and CEO.

Last April, Goodwill NYNJ selected Price.com to increase online sales to support its mission. Using the Price.com platform, consumers browsing popular sites like Amazon, Walmart, Target, can easily shop for a used option from Goodwill. This saves consumers money while supporting sustainable shopping.

Most job-seekers with disabilities have little or no work experience, have no idea how to find a job or the type of job they can do. Without the support of Goodwill NYNJ services, individuals with disabilities end up as part of the 75% of people with disabilities out of work. Revenue from Goodwill Extended and Goodwill stores supports Goodwill NYNJ’s job placement, training, on-the-job coaching, and retention services that support individuals with disabilities and other barriers on their journey to employment. Each year, Goodwill NYNJ provides services for 30,000 people with disabilities and other barriers to employment. In 2018, Goodwill NYNJ helped 2,351 people get jobs, including 843 individuals with disabilities, outside our stores at hospitals, tech firms, and NYC agencies.
